Post Mod (post-modernism) living area, with higher average to tall ceilings (14 feet) and blank white walls as a canvas to the colorful abstract art and bold rounded shapes that are synonymous with this style. Influences of retro, modern and MCM are in this style. How to add several different colors yet still look nice and light.
This is liveable, not too dramatic, not so lost in white. Knowing how to decorate with white walls to conform to any particular style is an otherwise easy task but sometimes for some designers it can be hard, since white (stark white) really stands out. I used an eggshell color white here.
● Trick: using bright white or stark white baseboards that are thick ( i am talking 6 to 8 inches high!) Can trick the eyes into thinking there is color to a plain white wall. Another way colors interact. It tones down the plain white color of the walls and makes them look like they have some color.
